Search and
Rescue/GPS
Dedication * SAR and GPS
Dedicated to America's Search and Rescue Team
Members!
We believe that Search and
Rescue Teams are GREAT AMERICAN
HEROS!
Everyday, we journey out on
adventures to the wilderness, in the woods, on a lake, or
the ocean, hopefully trained and prepared, but also confident
that, should we become lost or injured, or stranded in
bad weather, the local Search and Rescue (SAR) Teams will be
activated to find us, and bring us home safely.

We are all familiar with the
highly visible participation of National Guard members and
municipal/government professionals in many search and
rescue efforts. But few Americans realize that about two-thirds
of all SAR team members are unpaid volunteers, who also
pay for most of their equipment.
We hope that Americans realize
the sacrifices that all SAR team members make, giving
their time for training and rescue, leaving their jobs
and family at all hours, enduring all sorts of adverse
weather conditions, in hazardous terrain, in fact,
risking their lives..."so that
others may live".
Please support your local
Search and Rescue team where you live, and where you play,
because volunteer or "professional", there never are
enough funds to cover all of the gear that these teams need.
SAR and GPS
We believe that search and
rescue is one of the best ways to use GPS as a tool. We
have a special interest in providing information to help Search
and Rescue teams to use GPS equipment more effectively,
and to act as a one-stop resource for their GPS needs.
