GPSMAP 4008 and
4208 with a
8.4” diagonal VGA screen display, combine
video-quality resolution and luminous color with the latest in
sensor and data options. The power of
networking meets the brilliance of great design in this chartplotter,
which serves as your all-in-one “nerve center” for the Garmin Marine
network.
The
GPSMAP 4008 and
4208 both include worldwide satellite basemap
imagery. The
GPSMAP 4208 comes
preloaded with highly detailed BlueChart g2
marine
cartography of the coastal United States - including
Alaska, Hawaii and the Bahamas. This data provides
detailed coastlines, shaded depth contours, navaids, port plans,
wrecks, restricted areas and tide and current information.

The
GPSMAP 4008 and 4208 feature worldwide satellite imagery to enhance the standard vector basemap
format. These units also offers the optional BlueChart® g2 Vision SD
data card, which provides high-resolution aerial reference photos
for help navigating tricky harbors and channels — or locating spots
like area marinas, fuel stops or restaurants.
The g2 Vision plug-in data card also allows the
GPSMAP 4008 & 4208 to
graphically depict a true 3D “mariner’s eye” topside view or “fish
eye” underwater navigation perspective.

 forecasts, and current conditions is graphically
displayed. In addition, users can receive XM Satellite Radio's
150+ channels of commercial free music,
sports, news, talk and

The
GSD 22
is a powerful Remote Sounder
that can plug directly into the GPSMAP 4208. The GSD 22's
digital design and up to 2 kW of transmit power (depending on
transducer used) provides extraordinary target definition and deep
water performance.. The GSD 22 works with dual frequency
(200/50 kHz) transducers - everything from a standard 500 W transom
mount transducer to heavy-duty 2 kW (special order) thru-hull or
in-hull transducers that can reach depths to 5,000 feet. Choose your
transducer from the
GSD 22 page, to
complete your system.
