What is Inland Lakes Vision?

Plug an Inland Lakes Vision SD data card into your chartplotter, and you'll never look at water the same way. It’s the most realistic marine mapping software around with high resolution satellite imagery, “on-the-image” navigation, 3D perspective for dynamic views both above and below the waterline, Auto Guidance and “real picture” marine photos. 

You will tremendously expand your chartplotters full graphic capabilities with detailed map coverage of inland lakes and rivers for the continental U.S. By adding an Inland Lakes Vision card to your compatible chartplotter, you'll see shoreline, depth contours, bottom conditions, boat ramps, mile markers and more. Inland Lakes Vision also provides above and below water 3-D perspective, auto guidance technology and satellite imagery for over 300 of the most popular lakes.

Inland Lakes Vision is available on preprogrammed SD data cards.

Over 300 of the most popular lakes will also have:

• High resolution satellite imagery for selected lakes, when overlaid on the chart, provides the mariner with unparalleled situational awareness. (A)

• Fish Eye View 3-D perspective below the water line for displaying bottom contours based on bathymetric mapping data. (C)

The Inland Lakes Vision data cards are only compatible with the newer 2007 generation of Garmin Marine units or microSD capable units. At this time, there is no firmware upgrade to allow function in older units, like the GPSMAP 276C, 172, 178, 188, 2010, 3010, etc. so it will not work with these older units.

Coverage includes the following lakes: Region Coverage 1. West   Detailed Inland lake coverage of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming. Also includes full coverage for specific lakes where lake detail extends into neighboring states. Select lakes include Vision coverage consisting of underwater digital elevation models, auto guidance navigation, and satellite imagery. 2. North Central Detailed inland lake coverage of the Dakotas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio and Wisconsin. Also includes full coverage for lakes specific lake detail extends into neighboring states. Bull Shoals, Norfork, and Table Rock Lakes in MO/AR as well as Pymatuning Reservoir and Shenango River Lake in PA/OH are covered in their entirety. Select lakes include Vision coverage consisting of underwater digital elevation models, auto guidance navigation, and satellite imagery. 3. Northeast Detailed inland lake coverage of the New England states, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Lower Michigan and Kentucky. Also includes full coverage for lakes specific lake detail extends into neighboring states. Lake Gaston and Kerr Reservoir in VA/NC as well as Dale Hollow, Barkley, and Kentucky Lakes in KY/TN are covered in their entirety. Select lakes include Vision coverage consisting of underwater digital elevation models, auto guidance navigation, and satellite imagery. 4. South Central Detailed inland lake coverage throughout the states of Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Also includes full coverage for lakes specific lake detail extends into neighboring states, specifically Pickwick Lake in MS/AL. Select lakes include Vision coverage consisting of underwater digital elevation models, auto guidance navigation, and satellite imagery. 5. Southeast Inland lake coverage throughout the states of Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, and the Carolinas. Contains coverage for the entire Tennessee and Savannah River Valleys. Also includes full coverage for lakes specific lake detail extends into neighboring states. Kerr Reservoir and Lake Gaston in VA/NC are covered in their entirety. Select lakes include Vision coverage consisting of underwater digital elevation models, auto guidance navigation, and satellite imagery.
