MAP? and Why can't I see the real price?
MAP is an acronym for minimum advertised pricing.
In short: Our price is too low to show!
Adventure GPS is a
licensed and registered dealer for the products we sell. Being a
licensed dealer helps us assure product availability and product
support. To be a licensed dealer we agree to several stipulations
required by the manufacturers of the products. Among these is that
we only advertise their products at their suggested retail price or MAP.
This means we can't
show you the customers our real price without a bit of help from you.
To see our actual price you must click on the “buy now” or “add to
cart” buttons. You will see the part number, name and price of
the item you selected as the last item in the shopping cart. You
will also see a list and total cost for all items currently in the cart.
Price viewing
in this manner in no way obligates you to buy. If you change
your mind about a product simply click on the “REMOVE” button to remove
it from your shopping cart. You can even add several items and use
the shopping cart's displayed prices for cost comparisons.
