standard with the introduction of 3-D TopoQuads for your
entire state.
Now you can have the best of
both worlds--the authentic USGS 7.5-minute quadrangle maps
you have relied upon for years, plus DeLorme's own updated
topographic and street-level data--together for the first time
in one convenient program.
The USGS maps have been scanned
directly by the USGS and are powered by the feature-rich DeLorme
software engine. Access these USGS raster maps in 17
smooth-scrolling viewing levels in addition to, 80 levels of
updated DeLorme vector data. There's nothing else like it!
What's the
difference between 3-D TopoQuads and Topo USA?:
DeLorme
Topo USA features the latest topographic and street detail from
DeLorme (about 1:100,000 scale) in National or 2 regional editions. 3-D TopoQuads incorporates this same map data, plus
includes USGS quad maps (1:24,0000) for the highest viewing levels. |

Resolution:
Screen resolution of USGS maps at the highest viewing level—2.4
meters per pixel.
Contour
Interval of 3-D TopoQuads:
The contour interval in 3-D TopoQuads varies from 20’ to 500’,
depending on the viewing level of the map data. There are 97 viewing
levels within the program—80 viewing levels of the latest
topographic and street data (vector data) from the DeLorme database
and 17 viewing levels of USGS Quad maps (raster data) taken directly
from the source, the USGS.
How
up-to-date are the maps?:
Some of the USGS quads (raster data) in 3-D TopoQuads were updated
anywhere from 2 to over 30 years ago. There are over 50,000 quads
for the entire US, so the USGS has plenty of work to do to keep this
information updated. However, the vector data in 3-D TopoQuads
reflects the latest topographic and street data from the DeLorme
